Lifelong Access is Hiring an Occupational Therapist (Part-Time) Near Normal, IL

Lifelong Access envisions a community that encourages and accepts all people.Lifelong Access is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT). In this position your time will be fully dedicated to the pediatric program with a caseload that may include children from birth to age 18, and the opportunity to work in Early Intervention, clinic, or both. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a trans-disciplinary team including speech therapists, physical therapists and our pediatric ABA professionals, along with supervising a COTA and field work students. Job Type: Part-time
Primary responsibilities include:

  • Carry a caseload with children ages birth to 18.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, evaluating individuals in the areas of fine motor/self-help skills, upper extremity function, activities of daily living, upper body strength, visual/perceptual skills, and sensory processing.
  • Collaborating with a team of other Lifelong Access professionals, including Developmental Therapists, Physical Therapists, Social/Emotional therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Board Certified Behavioral Analysts, and Registered Behavior Technician.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and interns as assigned. 
  • Write and update treatment plans based on the results of assessments that effectively target short- and long-term goals. Maintain professional documentation including progress reports and session notes.
  • Employee may be asked to perform other duties as required by the employer’s business needs.
Qualifications for this position include:
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from accredited program, master’s degree preferred
  • Successful passage of the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapists (NBCOT) OT examination
  • Current Illinois OT license (or is license-eligible) required
  • Illinois Early Intervention credential or eligible for credential preferred
  • Minimum of one year proven successful experience in the area of pediatric occupational therapy and experience with families who have children with developmental delays/disabilities is highly preferred
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license with safe driving record
  • Current proof of automobile insurance
